A new track record for Leap To Fame!
Leap To Fame was too good for his rivals in the AVE Technologies Newcastle Mile on Friday night. The Grant Dixon trained and driven 6yo ran a 1:49.0 mile rate all while comfortably winning by 7 metres, he shaved over 1.5 seconds off the previous track record. Larry has now booked himself a spot in the Group 1 $1 Million Miracle Mile held at Menangle on Saturday 8th March!
A new personal best for Free Thinker!
Free Thinker ran a new career best over the mile of 1:52.6 in heat 11 of the inaugural running of the Ladbrokes Ultimate Drivers Championship on Saturday night. A superb drive from Pete McMullen saw the Grant Dixon trained 5yo Hurrikane Kingcole gelding score by 3 metres.
Risk Taker in fine form!
Risk Taker was perfectly rated by Dexter Dunn to take out heat 15 of the Ladbrokes Ultimate Drivers Championship on Saturday night. The Grant Dixon trained ran a new personal best with a mile rate of 1:55.1. This was the 4yo American Ideal geldings 3rd win this season, only being out of the placings once in his last 9 starts.
Charge Ahead through to the Chariots
A brave second in the Cordina Chicken Farms Paleface Adios Stakes at Menangle on Saturday night saw Charge Ahead book his spot into the Group 1 Chariots Of Fire at Menangle on Saturday 2nd March. A patient drive from Robbie Morris saw the Grant Dixon trained Bettors Delight gelding flash home for second in a quickly ran race, a mile rate of 1:49.2.
